Crafted Revival is one of a growing number of small businesses embracing the alternative notion of luxury as the time and expertise devoted to the creation of authentic and sustainable goods; A welcome antidote to the monotony of standardised, mass production. Drawing upon artisanal skills gained in the field of frame restoration I produce thoughtfully designed ornamental homewares and gifts, crafted in small batches.

Not unlike the antique picture frames that carry their own story, I recreate a similar aesthetic with some of the ornamental pieces. Employing time-honoured traditional techniques, using materials sourced from nature, I hope to evoke a sense that some of those pieces could just as easily have been found in an antique shop. If you’re looking for the sort of perfect uniformity you’d find in a mass produced item, you’ve come to the wrong place. Jesmonite (from which many of the pieces are mainly made) is a largely organic material that will settle in it’s mould differently with each pour, giving each piece it's own unique finish. Once cured, jesmonite has a beautiful stone-like quality which further adds to it's organic/natural aesthetic.
